Former WWE star Mandy Rose could have compeтιтion on her hands for a role in the new Baywatch reboot in the shape of current WWE NXT star Tiffany Stratton.
Mandy, 32, teased the possibility that she could be up for the role after retweeting a post confirming that another remake was in the works earlier this week.
The ex-WWE NXT women’s champion then quote-tweet the Daily Star’s story on this with three emojis – the smiling face smiling eyes emoji, the hands in the air emoji and the eyes emoji.
And yesterday, Rose poured what can only be described as a tonne of gas onto the burning flames by posing in a Pamela Anderson-style red Baywatch swimsuit.
However, she is being given a run for her money by 23-year-old blonde beauty Stratton after she posted pictures of herself in the iconic red ʙικιɴι on her Instagram.
Posting on a mᴀssive outdoor circle of sofas, she captioned the image: “Just updating my ‘this is the next NXT women’s champion’ picture.”
The Instagram set includes five very similar images of her posting in the outfit, which she posted to her audience of 166k followers.
Stratton’s post is seemingly directed at Rose with her recent Baywatch teases and the fact the ex-WWE star is a former NXT women’s champion.
She is set to battle for the belt on Tuesday (April 23) when she takes on current champion Indi Hartwell and fellow challenger and former champion Roxanne Perez in a triple threat at the special Spring Breakin’ NXT show.
Fans were quick to spot the Baywatch connection in the images.
Fellow NXT talent Nikkita Lyons wrote: “Bae Watch.”
And another fan asked: “Is this baywatch?”
A third wrote: “Needed a video of her running to the camera like Pamra Anderson did in Baywatch?”
Minnesota-native Stratton joined WWE in August 2021 – with zero experience of being a wrestler at the time.
Stratton did, however, have a background in gymnastics, having come in the top seven of several compeтιтions across a two year span.
Since then she has won fans over with her athletic style and trash-talking daddy’s girl persona.
She suffered a head injury in October 2022, but returned to the ring in January of this year to keep up her rich girl persona.
Stratton and Rose never interacted on camera during the latter’s time in NXT, but they could now battle it out to see who takes a role in the Baywatch reboot.
Rose received a lot of love for her red swimsuit post.
One wrote: “Finally, the Baywatch reboot we deserve!”
And a second posted: “Pamela Anderson ain’t got nothing on you Mandy.”
