Upside down ʙικιɴι trend makes a splash as sᴇxʏ models take to the catwalk

A Miami Swim Week model sashayed down the runway in an upside down ʙικιɴι – much to the delight of fashion fans in attendance. Check out the saucy craze below

The upside down ʙικιɴι trend continues to make a splash in the fashion industry.

Even though the craze was popularised years ago, it’s showing no signs of slowing down in summer 2022.

During a Miami Swim Week show yesterday, a model sashayed down the catwalk wearing an inverted ʙικιɴι top.

The cyan two-piece, designed by VDM The Label, featured ruched detailing and showcased her cuʀvᴇs.

And thankfully, the bombshell managed to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions as she strut her stuff in ɴuᴅᴇ heels and ran her hands through her long hair.

Maddy Marchesani, the Australian brand’s designer, said: “The collection was inspired by the beautiful Amalfi Coast.”

It is a reflection of the brand’s ethos to “break boundaries” and “take new leaps and bounds” with its swimwear collections.

Fans gushed about the range on VDM The Label’s Instagram page.

One wrote: “Truly one of the greatest sнows.”

Another said: “Beautiful” and a third gushed: “Amazing show”.

A few years ago, Italian model Valentina Fradegrada popularised the quirky trend.

Instead of wearing her swimsuits the right way round, the model sported her top backwards.

Tying the halter neck straps across her chest works to amplify the cleavage, which is why the craze is so popular.

After Valentina started the trend, celebrities have jumped on the bandwagon.

The craze is going strong more than four years later.

In recent weeks, reality TV star Antigoni Buxton rocked an upside down two-piece in the Love Island villa.

Meanwhile, models Jade Marie and Claudia Tihan also went wild for the trend.
