Online retailer SHEIN divided opinion by releasing a swimsuit that’s so sᴇxʏ it flashes most of the crotch area – some feared the skimpy fabric would cause a painful wedgie
Swimwear trends aren’t being very kind to us in 2022.
We’ve seen painful-looking duct tape ʙικιɴιs and dental floss cossies hit the market in recent weeks.
And now, SHEIN has made a splash with another excruciating design.
The online retailer is selling its “Backless Ring Linked One Piece Swimsuit” for £8.99.
But while this may seem like a cheap price, the beachwear doesn’t come with much fabric.
The backless one-piece, which is covered in sparkles, has a very narrow band of material to cover your modesty.
One wrong move and everyone would know what you’d had for breakfast!
So unsurprisingly, people questioned the practicality of the swimsuit on social media.
One wrote: “Why bother wearing anything at all?”
And another said: “Ouch! Worst ‘front wedgie’ ever!”
While you may think people would swerve the sᴇxʏ design, the cossie has clearly flown off shelves as sizes 8 to 16 have sold out.
One brave fashionista tagged a friend in the post and said: “Can you please get one for me, I don’t mind which colour!”
