Olivia Dunne is not only an accomplished gymnast but is also a major figure on social media, possessing over 11million followers across platforms as she’s the most followed college athletes in the US
Gymnast Olivia Dunne ranks in the top three of highest valued college athletes in the United States as she’s worth almost £3million.
According to On3’s NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) valuation, Dunne is worth £2.7m ($3.4m) and has a collective social media presence of 11.2m followers.
The LSU gymnast ranks as the most followed college athlete on social media with almost four million followers on Instagram and over seven million followers on TikTok.
Dunne regularly boasts over 500,000 likes per Instagram post as the social media sensation is a popular figure at gymnastic events as crowds of people chanted “We want Livvy! Give us Livvy!” at her season-opening event in Utah.
The 20-year-old needed police intervention over the intense crowd earlier this crowd as she spoke on the ‘Today’ show about the frightening experience.
She said: “They gave us some new rules for us athletes just to keep us safe, to not go into the stands after meets, and we have a new security person that travels with us.
“As a woman, you are not responsible for how a man looks at you and objectifies you. That’s not a woman’s responsibility.”
Dunne has capitalised on her fame, having signed lucrative partnerships with the likes of Vuori Clothing, EA Sports, Body Armor and Forever 21.
She’s also recently promoted Caktus AI, an artificial intelligence company that aims to help students spend less time working on “meaningless writing ᴀssignments”.
However, LSU posted a statement: “At LSU, our professors and students are empowered to use technology for learning and pursuing the highest standards of academic integrity.
“However, using AI to produce work that a student then represents as one’s own could result in a charge of academic misconduct, as outlined in the Code of Student Conduct.”
The only two athletes ahead of the gymnast in the rankings are Arch Manning, the nephew of Super Bowl champions Peyton and Eli Manning and Bronny James, the son of NBA great LeBron James.
