Model risks mishap in plunging swimsuit and fans say she ‘may as well be naked’

Instagram model and influencer Ashley Vee divided opinion when she wore a plunging swimsuit from Fashion Nova. The outfit is so tiny some advised her to go ɴuᴅᴇ

A model was told she “may as well be naked” when she posed in a skimpy swimsuit.

Ashley Vee – an influencer who is based in California, US – risked a wardrobe malfunction in the plunging one-piece from Fashion Nova.

She paired the bright orange cossie with a pair of ɴuᴅᴇ heels that feature transparent panelling.

Then for accessories, she went with a ɴuᴅᴇ headscarf and dainty silver jewellery.

And finally, the ensemble was complete with summery white nails, fluttery eyelashes and ɴuᴅᴇ lipstick.

The look went viral on the retailer’s Instagram page, where it garnered more than 10,900 likes.

One fashion fan posted a string of heart emojis and gushed: “Wow.”

Meanwhile, others branded Ashley “beautiful” and “nice”.

Despite this, others were concerned about how practical the barely-there swimwear would be on the beach.

One commenter said: “Well this should leave an interesting tan line.”

And another pointed out: “May as well be naked.”

If you’re feeling brave enough to replicate Ashley’s look, you can buy the Summer Secrets Ultra Thong Swimsuit from Fashion Nova for £20.

Be warned though, some reviews have complained that the cossie “doesn’t really cover anything”.

So wear it at your own peril!

Fashion Nova is an online fast fashion retail company based in Los Angeles.

It mainly sells clothes via Instagram influencers and models – but has also worked with celebrities like Blac Chyna and Christina Milian.

In recent months, many of the retailer’s garments have gone viral online.

Previously, its unusual “wedgie” shorts made a splash Instagram.

The store’s “Borat” style bodysuit also left shoppers flabbergasted.
